This elegant autumnal twist on the mid-century classic comes from head mixologist Agostino Perrone at The Connaught Bar. The original features blackberry liqueur – we’ve used crème de cassis, but Chambord works well too.

Ingredients

  • 90ml bourbon
  • 40ml red vermouth
  • 20ml Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur
  • 10ml crème de cassis
  • 4 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • Blackberries (optional), to serve

Method

  1. Combine the bourbon, red vermouth, Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, crème de cassis and Angostura bitters in a large glass filled with ice. Stir until very cold. Strain into chilled Nick & Nora glasses and garnish with blackberries, if desired.
