Ingredients

  • 3 heads little gem lettuce
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp sea salt flakes, or more to taste
  • 20g pack dill, leaves chopped
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp Cooks’ Ingredients Crispy Fried Onions

Method

  1. Trim the base from each lettuce, then wash and dry upside down. Cut each into 4 wedges lengthways through the core and lay onto a platter.

  2. Put the vegetable oil and garlic in a pan over a medium heat for 1-2 minutes until they start to sizzle, then add the sesame seeds and stir for 1-2 minutes more until they start to turn golden. Remove from the heat.

  3. While the pan is still hot, add the sea salt and dill to the pan, mix untll they stop fizzing, then add the lemon juice and sesame oil.

  4. Add the crispy onions to the gem wedges, then drizzle with the dressing and serve.
