Ingredients
- 3 heads little gem lettuce
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- 3 tbsp sesame seeds
- ½ tsp sea salt flakes, or more to taste
- 20g pack dill, leaves chopped
- 1 lemon, juice
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 4 tbsp Cooks’ Ingredients Crispy Fried Onions
Method
- Trim the base from each lettuce, then wash and dry upside down. Cut each into 4 wedges lengthways through the core and lay onto a platter. 
- Put the vegetable oil and garlic in a pan over a medium heat for 1-2 minutes until they start to sizzle, then add the sesame seeds and stir for 1-2 minutes more until they start to turn golden. Remove from the heat. 
- While the pan is still hot, add the sea salt and dill to the pan, mix untll they stop fizzing, then add the lemon juice and sesame oil. 
- Add the crispy onions to the gem wedges, then drizzle with the dressing and serve.
