Meet the producer

Bunnahabhain

Pronounced ‘Bun-nah-have-ven’ – meaning ‘mouth of the river’ – the name is inspired by the distillery’s location on the Sound of Islay’s shores. Distillery manager Andrew Brown (above) explains: “We use natural, unpeated spring water and our coastal warehouses, exposed to the sea air, give our whisky a maritime character.”
