Gavi del Comune di Gavi DOCG white wine.
Made exclusively for Waitrose & Partners by the ancient winery of La Giustiniana, this wine is crafted in the foothills of the Apennine mountains. The winery, with its origins tracing back to the 10th century, once served as a Benedictine convent before coming under the ownership of the Guistiniani family at the beginning of 1600. The cool climate of the vineyards allows the grapes to ripen slowly and gain aromatic complexity. This wine is made from grapes sourced from the estates two single vineyards. On the nose this wine has a gentle fragrance of white blossom and lime zest which follows through on the palate with a delightful zip and verve. This wine's crisp acidity make it a great match for fish, seafood or light pasta dishes.
