Kadette PinotageWine of Origin Stellenbosch, South Africa.Kanonkop: Means "Cannon Hill" and is derived from the days when cannons were fired to signal the arrival of Dutch trade ships into Cape Town Harbour. Varietal: 100% Pinotage. Viniculture: Fermentation took place in open concrete vessels for 3 1/2 days at 29°C. Cap punched down manually every 2 hours. Style: Produced in the traditional Kanonkop fashion - full bodied with a deep ruby colour. Gentle oak and tannin structures give this wine a long, lingering and smooth finish. Flavours: A fruit forward style, offering flavours of red berries, plum with a finish of sweet spice.
