Ingredients

  • 25ml espresso shot (or strongly brewed coffee)
  • ½ tsp caster sugar
  • 25ml Tia Maria
  • 25ml vodka
  • 15ml Pedro Ximénez sherry
  • Cocoa powder, to serve

Method

  1. Add the espresso shot to a cocktail shaker with the caster sugar; stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the Tia Maria, vodka, Pedro Ximénez sherry and a handful of ice. Shake until very cold, then strain into a martini or coupe glass. Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
